Shanghai Garden, Spalding.

Spalding, a town famous for its annual Flower parade, you can find us at “The White Hart” building in the “market Place”. The White Hart Inn as it is known dates back to the 15th century. It is the oldest inn in Spalding and Mary Queen of Scots stayed here in 1566. So when you come and dine at Shanghai Garden you may well be following the footsteps of historical figures!

And who better to head the team of chefs from Shanghai Garden than a chef from Shanghai, China! Yes, our head chef (you can see him on the left) really is from Shanghai with over 17 years of experience having worked as head chef in some of London’s renowned restaurants in Chinatown. Our head chef is a firm believer of  the Aroma, Appearance, and Taste philosophy and you only need to look at some of his vegetable carvings to realize how much pride he takes in his craft.

Lunch time buffet.

Every lunch time there is a buffet consisting of approximately 12 dishes to choose from and they are topped up frequently so we are certain that it will satisfy even the biggest of appetites!

Dishes in the buffet include the old favourites such as sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, chowmein (soft fried noodles), beef with chilli and black bean sauce, mini crispy springrolls and sesame prawn toast. Lunch time buffet is prices at £5.50 per person.

Soft drinks such as pepsi and lemonade are available at £2.30 per glass (refill as many times as you like)

Evening buffet.

Every Thursday evening our buffet, priced at £9.90 per person, offers you a much bigger selction. There are usually about 30 dishes covering a wide range of styles and tastes so we are confident that even the choosiest of our diners will be contented. In fact, we can safely say that if you only eat once a week this is the night to come to Shanghai Garden!

Dishes in the evening buffet include aromatic crispy duck, satay chicken, crispy dragon balls (made with king prawns), Thai style chicken wings, salt and pepper pork, garlic mushrooms and a soup of the day.

Thursday evening buffet really does represent such an excellent value for money and this is reflected in the fact that we can only afford to offer it once a week! It is also becoming increasing popular so please book in advance to avoid long waits and disappointment.

Lunch time 11:30am to 2:00pm
Evenings 5:30pm to 11:30pm

Take-away delivery service.

We also have a take-away service and if you come to collect at the restaurant your food will be ready for you within 10 to 15 minutes. If you prefer to have it delivered to your door then it is normally delivered within about 45 minutes. Delivery is free on orders above £10.
